Our materials engineering team provides raw materials sourcing advice and services without the agenda that comes from the need to recommend and sell our own products. Leveraging our in-house materials expertise and our world-class supply network, Shawmut can source an optimal raw material for almost any application.

Shawmut maintains a team of in-house materials engineers with expertise across a full range of raw materials categories including polymer films, polymer foams, textiles and nonwovens. This team works with our world-class supplier network to manage value-added conversion of roughly 75 million yards of flexible materials annually, across multiple categories and applications.

Our unmatched combination of expertise and experience in sourcing flexible materials puts us in a unique position to help customers designate the optimal material and supplier for any application. And, when no suitable material is available for an application, Shawmut can leverage one of its numerous material development partnerships in knits to develop a custom material to fit the need.
